Makiya Jones is a sophomore at Pace majoring in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Arts & Entertainment Management. She joined The Pace Press at the start of her freshman year as a Contributor and later became a Staff Writer and feels ecstatic holding the position of Op-Ed Editor. She wishes to continue her interest in media journalism as a career in the city upon graduation. Aside from school, she enjoys hanging out with friends, getting boba, and exploring her creative side, specifically in fashion. Back home, Makiya goes for a simple day riding her skateboard or in bed scrolling through Pinterest while bingeing TV shows and films.
