Lady Gaga has proven herself to be multi-talented. She can sing, write music and act. Now, Lady Gaga has begun a new venture: the world of makeup. Her new cosmetics line, Haus Laboratories, caused mass excitement across all social media platforms when the campaign launched last summer.
Since the initial launch, more products have been added to the collection. Lady Gaga has dabbled in the cosmetics world before—in the past, she has created a fragrance and had two different MAC Viva Glam Lipstick campaigns, one in collaboration with pop musician Cyndi Lauper and one by herself. A percentage of Viva Glam proceeds go towards MAC’s charity of choice.
The packaging is black and sleek, with a simple graphic design on the cap of the product. The initial products launched included liquid eye shadows, lip liners, lip glosses, a liquid eyeliner and self-adhesive eyewear.
Her Glam Attack Liquid Shimmer Powder eyeshadow formula got rave reviews for the color payoff and blendability. When layered, the color only intensified and never gave the reviewers any issue.
The RIP Lip Liners launched in six initial colors and the shade range has since expanded. The shades are vibrant, as one would expect from Gaga. The formula, however, has fantastic reviews and is said to be both creamy and pigmented. The pencil glided on the reviewers’ lips and the color was easily dispersed.
The Le Riot Lip Glosses have shades that correlate with the lip liners. The glosses have a thick, shiny consistency without being sticky. Many reviews went on to claim users’ lips felt nourished and it wore well on the lips over time.
The Liquid Eye-Lie-Ner was the most anticipated product for consumers due to the promise of very black pigmentation. The liner glides on the eye, does not skip when applied and easily creates sharp lines and wings. When watching influencers review the product, they did not have to shake the component at all in order for the product to work. Another product launched was Eye Armor, which consisted of adhesive eyeliner wings. Eye Armor is reported to be delicate and easy to use. The adhesive wings made a cat-eye easily creatable. These two products made artistic eyeliner more achievable. To use, the products must be placed on bare skin first with foundation and powder applied afterward for the best application.
Gaga has been known to make multiple fashion statements, coupled with all different kinds of makeup and hairstyles. She is definitely known for making a statement, which only made makeup lovers and Gaga fans more excited for her product launch. Last summer, her campaign for a new cosmetics line shocked fans due to the simplicity of the colors used on the cosmetics models. The artistry, however, was dark, dramatic, and sharp, especially when modeled on Gaga herself. The line has impressed users since it’s launch and will only continue to expand in color and product range.
