The holiday season may have come to a close, but cupid’s arrow is soon ready to strike lovers all over the city. For a holiday that can sometimes fly under the radar, Valentine’s Day in New York City has many amazing things to offer. The Pace Press has rounded up some Valentine’s Day events and popups happening this month that are worth checking out—whether you’re single or not!

Cupid’s Undie Run

On Saturday, Feb. 9, New Yorkers can dash across the city with love for a good cause. Cupid’s Charity, a non-profit company established in 2010, hopes to raise money to end neurofibromatosis (NF) by hosting their infamous Cupid Undie Run.

The run begins at noon at stage 48 at 605 W 48th Street and ends around 4 p.m. All proceeds from the event go to find a cure for NF, a genetic tumor disorder that affects 1 in every 3,000 births. There is also an ongoing party for participants throughout the day to toast to the good cause.

The Times Square 2019 Valentine’s Day Heart

Open to the public from Feb. 1 to 28, Reddymade’s “X” in Times Square is the 11th annual Times Square heart design. “X” was chosen to stand in Times Square this year to symbolize “interpersonal and civic love.”

According to Reddymade, “People from all backgrounds cross paths in Times Square, and Reddymade’s design offers them a meeting point for further exchange and connection.” Whether you’re an avid art follower or just looking for a cool place to meet up with a loved one, this eye-catching sculpture is worth braving the crowds of Times Square for.

Le Scandal Valentine’s Day Show

On the night of Valentine’s Day, check out NYC’s longest running burlesque variety show. Running at The West Bank Cafe-Laurie Beechman Theater, Le Scandal will remind you of the dramatic side of this day of love. After all, what is NYC without its theatre!

In a burlesque variety show presenting international acts and a burlesque band, enjoy a night of good old fashion drama with your loved ones. With a show at 7 p.m., Le Scandal will fill your night with live music and thrilling entertainment.

The Amazing Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt

If you are stuck in class on Valentine’s Day, this event is for you. On Feb. 16, go on a Valentine’s Day-themed scavenger hunt throughout the city. For just $25, this hunt will lead you around the city performing challenges along the way to reach the end of the hunt.

You may sign up individually and get placed in a team or go in with friends as a team of your own. The best part is, the winning team receives a cash prize of $100! To participate, sign up online and meet at Slattery’s on East 36th Street at 1:30pm. Happy findings!
