Mandi Karpo is a senior at the University studying Political Science. With fundamental experience writing for her high school newspaper, Mandi decided to further her interest in journalism her sophomore year, starting off as a Staff Writer in the Spring of 2021. She was promoted to News Editor shortly after for the remainder of the semester and was elected Secretary, Events and Social Media Manager for the 2021-2022 academic year. While serving this position, Mandi received 2nd place in Journalism for the Gerard Cannon Award in the University’s English Department Writing Awards for her published article, “WTF is an NFT?”

Mandi is an active member of the University’s student body, serving as the Press Secretary for Pace Debates last academic year, a dancer for the Pace Collective and a former Teaching Assistant for the Political Science Department. In her free time, Mandi likes to indulge herself in a good book, build intricate lego art pieces, attend dance classes, sketch, paint, waterski, hike and actively seek NYCs best restaurants and rooftop views. After graduation, Mandi plans to pursue law school with an anticipated specialization in Media, Entertainment and Technology Law.
